Linking Items

Last updated Jun 3, 2025

Use the uplinking feature in the Kayana Partners Admin Portal to link shared options and extras (like sauces, toppings, or sides) across multiple products.

1. What Is Item Uplinking?

Uplinking allows you to reuse a single item (e.g., extra cheese) as an option or extra for multiple products (e.g., all burgers).

Benefits:

  • If the linked item goes out of stock (e.g., cheese), you only need to update it once
  • The change automatically reflects across all items it's linked to
  • Saves time and improves consistency across your menu

2. Real-World Example

Imagine you have 10 burger items, each offering extra cheese for 50p.
Instead of editing each burger manually when cheese runs out, you simply:

  • Locate the cheese item
  • Mark it out of stock

This instantly removes it as an option from all connected burgers.
