What’s in the Box
When you receive the BBPOS WisePad 3, you should find:
The BBPOS WisePad 3 reader unit.
USB-C cable for charging and data connection.

Step-by-Step: Connecting the Reader to a Kiosk
Follow these steps to connect the reader to your kiosk (32″, 24″ or 16″ device):

- Attach the reader: Plug the BBPOS WisePad 3 into the self-service kiosk via the USB cable in the white colored port only.
- Power on the reader: Press the power button on the reader. The screen should show a charging icon (or indicate power).

- Configure Location settings
Allow location permissions — Grant the application access to the device’s location. This is required for the BBPOS WisePad 3 card reader to pair successfully.
- Connect to the kiosk: With the reader plugged in, the kiosk will display a “Stripe reader setup” pop-up. Wait ~5-6 seconds while the device is discovered and paired with the kiosk.

- Confirm pairing: Once paired, the reader is ready. The disconnected icon on top right will be gone now which means the card reader is connected successfully.
- Test the reader (optional): Open secret settings screen where you should see a message confirming the reader is connected.
- Ready for payments: The reader is now set up and the kiosk is ready to accept payments.
