Creating a Meal Deal or Mix & Match Offer: Step-by-Step Guide

This guide outlines the process for creating and managing promotional offers within the Kayana Partner Admin.
Step 1: Login to Kayana Partner Admin
- Login: Access the Kayana Partner Admin.

- Settings: Select Settings from the left-hand sidebar.

3. Discounts: Click on Discounts option in the settings grid.

4. Manage Promotions: Select Manage Promotions to view and manage your active deals.

- Create: Click the + Create New Deal button in the top right corner.
Step 2: General Information
- Meal Deal Name: The internal name for the promotion (e.g., "Lunch Special").
- Description: A brief summary of what the deal includes.
- Promotion Toggles:
Mix and Match: Allows customers to select a specific quantity of items from a single group for a set price or discount.
Meal Deal: Allows customers to select items from multiple distinct groups (e.g., a Main, a Side, and a Drink).

Step 3: Configuring the Deal Type
Select your discount logic from the Deal Type dropdown:
- X For Y: (e.g., Buy 2 items for the price of 1).
- X For £: (e.g., Buy any 2 items for £10.00).
- % Discount: (e.g., Get 20% off when buying specific items).
Step 4: Setting Quantities and Groups
Depending on your toggle selection in Step 2(meal deal , the following fields will appear:
For Mix and Match:
- Buy : The number of items the customer must select.
- For : The resulting price or quantity applied to the deal.
For Meal Deals:
- Number of Meal Groups: Select how many categories are in the deal (e.g., 2 groups for a "Main + Drink").
- Meal Group Name: Label the group as you want it to be displayed on the till/ EPOS(e.g., "Choose your Burger").
- Select Items: Choose the specific products that belong to this group from your menu.
Example 1: Mix and Match (Single Category)
Use this when you want customers to buy multiple items from the same list (e.g., a "3 for £12 Small Plates" offer).
- Scenario: 2 Bottled Beers for £8.00.
- Toggle Selected: Mix and Match.
- Deal Type: X For £.
- Buy : 2 (The customer must select two beers).
- For : £8.00 (The total price applied at checkout).
Example 2: Meal Deal (Multiple Categories)
Use this for structured combos where the customer must pick one item from different categories (e.g., a "Burger & Drink" combo).
- Scenario: The £15 Burger Night (Main + Side + Drink).
- Toggle Selected: Meal Deal.
- Number of Meal Groups: 3.
- Meal Group 1 Name: "1. Choose your Main".
- Select Items: Beef Burger, Chicken Burger, Halloumi Burger.
- Meal Group 2 Name: "2. Choose a Side".
- Select Items: Fries, Onion Rings, Side Salad.
- Meal Group 3 Name: "3. Choose a Drink".
- Select Items: Coke, Lemonade, Sparkling Water.
Step 5: Availability and Scheduling
- Date Range: Select the start and end dates for the promotion.
- Time Range: Set specific active hours (e.g., 12:00 to 15:00 for a lunch deal).
- Enable For: Toggle the service types where this deal applies (Dine In, Eat Out, Delivery, Collection).
Step 6: Finalize
Click Create Meal Deal to save and activate the promotion.
