Receiving Self Service Kiosk Orders on EPOS
Last updated Mar 3, 2026
This guide explains how to configure your Kayana EPOS to manage orders from Kayana Self-Service Kiosks (SSK), allowing you to replace standalone tablets and consolidate your printing workflow.
Enabling SSK Notifications
To ensure the EPOS alerts you when a kiosk order is placed, you must enable the specific notification source:
- Log in to your EPOS Dashboard.
- Locate the Notifications icon at the bottom of the left-hand sidebar.
- Under the Manage Source Notifications section, you will see toggles for various order sources (Kiosk, Web, QR, MPOS, Mobile, Kayana Eats).
- Toggle the "Kiosk" button to ON.
Note: Enabling this source ensures that every transaction made on the SSK is instantly synced and alerted on the EPOS screen.
Replacing Order Receiver Tablets with EPOS
The Kayana EPOS fully replaces the need for separate partner tablets. All orders placed via the SSK appear directly on the EPOS interface, just as they did on previous tablet setups. By enabling the correct notifications and printer links, the EPOS serves as the primary hub for receiving, managing, and printing all kiosk transactions.
Configuring Shared Printing
You can connect both the EPOS and the SSK to the same thermal printer to save space and reduce hardware costs.
- From the left-hand sidebar, go to System & Connectivity.
- Select Thermal Printer.
- In the printer configuration list, check the box for SSK (and any other devices you wish to link).
- Save your settings.
Result: Both the EPOS and the SSK are now connected to the same printer. Orders from either device will now print from the single designated thermal unit.
