Viewing Pending Orders on the KDS

Your Kitchen Display System (KDS) is designed to give your kitchen team immediate access to active orders. This guide will walk you through how to quickly access pending orders—orders that have been placed but are not yet marked as completed.
Why This Matters
Pending orders help kitchen staff stay on top of what needs to be prepared. Being able to view them at a glance ensures nothing is missed and that service stays efficient and timely.
1. Locate the Hamburger Menu
- On your KDS home screen, look for the hamburger icon (☰), typically located in the top-left corner
- This icon represents the main navigation menu
2. Tap the Icon to View Orders
- Simply tap the hamburger icon
- As soon as you do, the screen will display a list of all pending orders that are currently in the system
- There’s no need to dig through additional menus—the list appears immediately
What You’ll See
- Orders will appear in chronological order or based on your configured sort settings
- Each order will display essential details like order type (e.g., Dine-In, Takeaway), items, and time of placement
Checking pending orders regularly ensures that no order is missed and your kitchen operates smoothly during busy periods.
