Setting Up the Terminal for First Use

Once you've unboxed your Kayana Card Terminal, follow these steps to get it powered on, connected, and ready to accept payments.
Step 1: Power On the Terminal
- Connect the terminal to a power source using the provided adapter
- Press and hold the power button on the left side of the device until the screen lights up
- If the device doesn't power on, charge it for a few minutes first, then try again
Step 2: Complete Initial Setup
- On the Welcome screen, select your preferred language
- Let the battery charge for at least four hours while continuing the setup
Step 3: Connect to a Network
The terminal can connect via 4G or Wi-Fi.
- By default, the 4G SIM card activates on startup
- To use Wi-Fi instead:
- Tap Settings in the bottom right
- Go to Network
- Enter PIN: XXXX
- Choose your Wi-Fi network and enter the password
Once connected to the internet, you’ll see the Kayana App at the top left of the screen—your terminal is now ready to use.
