This SMS/Text Messaging Campaign Policy ("SMS Policy") describes how Kayana for Business Limited, and any and/or other related/connected entities under the Kayana for Business company structure (including Kayana World Limited, Kayana Ireland Limited, Kayana for Business Australia LLC, and Kayana for Business Canada) (collectively, "Kayana", "we", "us" or "our"), sends text messages to individuals in connection with Kayana Aid ("Platform").
This SMS Policy forms part of, and should be read together with, the Kayana Aid Terms and Conditions and the Kayana Aid Privacy Policy. Capitalised terms not defined here have the meaning given in those documents.
1. DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICE
The Kayana Aid SMS programme ("Programme") sends text messages to Donors, Merchants, and other Platform users who have opted in, for purposes that may include:
- confirming a donation and issuing a donation receipt;
- confirming Gift Aid declarations;
- providing account or identity-verification updates (e.g. one-time passcodes, KYC/KYB status, onboarding process including additional verifications that may be needed for the account);
- sending fundraising campaign updates from a Cause you have supported or registered;
- sending fundraising reminders (e.g. campaign milestones, closing dates);
- sending payment or transaction alerts (e.g. failed payment, chargeback notice);
- customer support communications you have requested; and
- general service and administrative notices relating to your use of the Platform.
The Programme does not send unsolicited marketing messages to numbers that have not opted in, and does not sell or share mobile numbers collected through the Programme with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
2. MESSAGE FREQUENCY
Message frequency varies depending on your activity on the Platform and the type of messages you have opted into. As a general guide:
- transactional messages (e.g. donation confirmations, verification codes) are sent as needed, at the time of the relevant transaction or activity;
- campaign and fundraising update messages are typically sent up to 3 messages per month per Cause you support or follow, unless you have selected a different preference where available.
Message frequency may vary. You may receive more or fewer messages depending on your interaction with the Platform.
3. MESSAGE AND DATA RATES
Message and data rates may apply. Standard messaging charges from your mobile carrier will apply to messages sent and received through the Programme. Kayana is not responsible for any charges billed to you by your mobile carrier. Contact your mobile carrier for details about your messaging and data plan.
4. HOW TO GET HELP
For help at any time, text HELP to the number you received messages from, or contact us at info@kayanaforbusiness.com. We will respond with information on how to get assistance or manage your preferences.
5. HOW TO OPT OUT
You can opt out of receiving text messages from the Programme at any time by texting STOP to the number you received messages from. After you send STOP, we will send you a final confirmation message that you have been unsubscribed, and you will not receive further text messages from the Programme unless you opt in again.
If you unsubscribe from one Cause's updates, you may still receive transactional messages relating to donations you have made or accounts you hold, where these are not marketing messages and are necessary to service your transaction, unless you request otherwise or applicable law requires us to stop.
6. TERMS OF SERVICE AND PRIVACY POLICY
Your use of the Programme is subject to the Kayana Aid Terms and Conditions and the Kayana Aid Privacy Policy. Please review these documents to understand how your personal data, including your mobile number, is collected, used, and protected, and your rights in relation to it.
7. CONSENT TO RECEIVE MESSAGES
We will only enrol your mobile number in the Programme with your explicit consent. Before sending any recurring text messages, we will ask you to confirm your consent by replying to an opt-in message.
If you reply "NO", or do not reply "YES", you will not be enrolled in the Programme and will not receive further messages of that type.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of making a donation, registering a Cause, or otherwise using the Platform. You may use the Platform without enrolling in the Programme.
8. CONFIRMATION OF ENROLMENT
Once you reply "YES", we will send a confirmation message enrolling you in the Programme. This confirmation will restate the nature of the Programme, expected
