Understanding Ryft Balances in Kayana Partner Admin

Last updated Dec 24, 2025

When your business uses Ryft as the payment provider through Kayana, you’ll notice three balance types in Partner Admin:

  • Pending Amount
  • Cleared Amount
  • Available Amount

These represent different payout stages within Ryft’s settlement flow. This guide explains what each term means in simple language, with examples relevant to restaurants and food businesses.

To view your balances:

  1. Log in to Kayana Partner Admin using your business credentials.
  2. On the Dashboard, locate the Payout Overview section on the left-hand side of the page.
  3. At the top of the Payout Overview, select your Payment Service Provider (PSP) tab (for example: Stripe, RYFT, Adyen, etc.).
  4. The balances shown below will update based on the selected PSP.

⚠️ Important: Each PSP tab displays its own balance structure, so the labels and meanings may differ depending on whether you select Stripe or RYFT.

Pending Amount

What it means: A payment has been successfully processed through the card schemes (Visa, Mastercard, etc.), but Ryft has not yet received the funds into their banking rails.

In simple words: Customer paid → card scheme approved → money is on the way to Ryft → not yet usable.

Example: A customer pays £100 today. Immediately after payment, you will see £100 under Pending Amount.

Cleared Amount

What it means: Ryft has received the funds from the card schemes. The money is now cleared internally, but still not yet withdrawable by you.

In simple words: Ryft has the money → it has cleared → waiting for settlement timing → nearly available.

Example: The same £100 moves from Pending into Cleared tomorrow once Ryft receives it.

Available Amount

What it means: This is the balance you can withdraw to your bank account / that Ryft is ready to pay out.

In simple words: Ready for payout → your usable money.

Example: Once settlement rules are satisfied, the £100 moves into Available and becomes withdrawable to your bank.
