Guide: Connecting the RYFT A35 Card Reader to Your Kayana Devices (SSK & EPOS)

NNThis guide walks you through how to pair or connect the RYFT A35 card reader / terminal with both Kayana Self-Service Kiosks (SSK) and Kayana EPOS devices. Once connected, your system will be able to take seamless card payments.

1. Connecting the RYFT A35 to the Kayana Self-Service Kiosk (SSK)

1. On the Kayana Self-Service Kiosk (SSK) Login screen, enter your email or username.
2. Tap Next.
3. Enter your 4-digit PIN to access the device.

Step 2: Open Settings

1. Tap the Kayana icon on the top bar.
2. This opens the Settings page.

Now Step 3: Connect RYFT A35 Card Reader

1. Tap on the Reader Disconnected text at the top.
2. A pop-up will appear with a list of available card readers.
3. Select the RYFT A35 reader you wish to connect.
4. Once connected, the Settings page will update to show Reader Connected in green. This ensures the SSK is successfully paired and ready for payments.

Step 4: Start Taking Orders

1. Tap Back to return to the main screen.
2. Choose Takeaway or Dine-In.
3. Select items from the menu.
4. Tap View Cart to proceed to checkout.
5. Choose the customer’s payment mode: Cash or Card.

Your SSK is now connected to the RYFT A35 terminal and ready to process payments smoothly.

2. Connecting the RYFT A35 to the Kayana EPOS System

Step 1: Log In

1. On the Log in screen, enter your email or username, then tap Next.

Step 2: Access the Terminal Settings

1. On the top-right corner, tap the Terminal (Card Reader) icon.
2. Then tap the Kayana icon to open Settings.
3. Enter your PIN again if requested.

Now Step 3: Choose a Card Reader

1. You’ll now see a list of available RYFT A35 terminals.
2. Tap to select the device you want to connect.
3. Once connected, the card reader icon at the top will show a green tick, confirming a successful pairing.

Step 4: Begin Service

1. Tap Home.
2. Choose an order type: Takeaway, Dine-In, Collection, or Delivery.
3. Select items from the menu and tap View Cart.
4. Choose the payment method (Cash or Card).

Your EPOS is now connected to the RYFT A35 card reader and ready to process customer payments.
