Last updated Jun 3, 2025

The Cash Float is the starting amount of cash placed in your till at the beginning of a shift. Setting this correctly ensures accurate cash tracking and end-of-day reporting.

1. Open Cash Float Settings

  • From the home screen, tap “More.”
  • Go to “Settings.”
  • Select “Cash Float.”

2. Enter Float Amount

  • A screen will appear prompting you to enter the float amount (e.g., £100.00).
  • Use the keypad to input the exact value of the cash being added to the till.

3. Save the Float

  • Once you've entered the correct amount, tap “Save” or “Confirm” to record the float for the current session.

Why It Matters:

  • The cash float is used to calculate your net cash intake at the end of the day.
  • Helps ensure accurate reporting and simplifies reconciliation during shift close.
