How to Create an Item-Level Discount in Kayana Partner Admin

Overview

This guide explains how to create an Item-Level Discount in Kayana Partner Admin. Item-Level Discounts allow you to apply a fixed or percentage discount to specific menu items across all platforms.

How to Access Item-Level Discounts

Step 1. Log in to Kayana Partner Admin using your credentials.

Step 2. From the left-hand sidebar, select Settings.

Step 3. Select Discounts.

Step 4. Click Item-Level Discounts. The Item Discounts screen will open. If no discounts have been created yet, the screen will display a No Discounts Created Yet message with the following prompt: "Create your first discount to start offering special deals to your customers. You can set percentage or fixed amount discounts for specific menu items across all platforms."

How to Create a New Item-Level Discount

Step 5. Click the + Create Your First Discount button. The Create Discount form will open.

Step 6. Fill in the required details:

Discount Code Enter a unique discount code that will be applied at checkout. The discount code must be a minimum of 3 characters. As soon as a valid discount code is entered, a QR code is automatically generated at the bottom of the form. You can download this QR code using the Download QR Code button.

Discount Name Enter a name for the discount. This is for internal reference and helps identify the discount in your list.

Discount Type Select the type of discount from the dropdown:

• Fixed — deducts a fixed amount from the order total
• Percentage — deducts a percentage from the order total

Discount Voucher Type Select the voucher type from the dropdown:

• Normal — a standard discount code with no restrictions
• Threshold — the discount applies only when the order reaches a minimum value
• Usage Limited — the discount can only be used a set number of times
• First Order Discount — the discount applies to a customer's first order only

Discount Value Enter the discount amount or percentage, depending on the Discount Type selected.

Minimum Order Amount Enter the minimum order value required for this discount to apply. Leave blank if there is no minimum order requirement.

Discount Pin Enter a 4-digit PIN for this discount. This PIN is used for secure validation at POS terminals.

Select Platform Select the platform(s) this discount should apply to from the dropdown.

Discount Start Date Select the date from which this discount becomes active using the date picker. Defaults to today's date.

Discount End Date Select the date on which this discount expires using the date picker. Defaults to one month from today's date.

Search and Select Items Search for and select the specific menu items this discount should apply to using the item selector. Only the items selected here will have the discount applied.

Step 7. Once all details are filled in, click the Submit button.

The item-level discount will be created and will appear in the Item Discounts list.

To cancel without saving, click the Cancel button.
