How to Search for Menu Items on Your Kayana EPOS

Need to find a specific item quickly? The built-in search feature lets you locate menu items efficiently so you can add them to orders without scrolling through categories.

Step 1: Select an Order Type

• From the home screen, tap the order type you want to place:
• Dine-In
• Takeaway
• Collection

Step 2: Open the Menu Screen

• Once you’ve selected the order type, the menu screen will appear.

Step 3: Use the Search Bar

• At the top of the menu screen, tap the search bar.
• Start typing the name of the item you want to find.

Step 4: Select the Item

• Matching items will appear below as you type.
• Tap the item you want to add directly to the order.

Tips

• If you’re unsure of the full item name, try typing part of it — the search will still find it.
• The search works across all menu categories, helping you locate items faster.

Using the search feature saves time and makes taking orders smoother, so your staff can serve customers quickly and accurately.
